HOUSTON (AP) - A New Mexico girl who police said was abandoned
in Baytown after her 16-year-old MySpace boyfriend learned that her
real age was 12 instead of 15 has been reunited with her family.
After being questioned, the girl -- whose identity has not been
released -- was placed on an airplane and reunited with her family
The girl told detectives that she left her home in New Mexico on
April 14 with friends who drove her to El Paso. A Baytown police
official tells the Houston Chronicle that that's when her parents
reported her missing.
The 16-year-old boy she met on MySpace joined her in El Paso.
Police say the two then drove back to the boy's home in the Houston
After the boy talked to the girl's aunt, who told him her niece
was only 12, the boy dropped the girl off at a Baytown mall.
Baytown authorities are still trying to identify the boy and
