CANTON, Texas (AP) - Officials say an apparent tornado overturned cars and RVs and dropped power lines in the East Texas town of Canton today.

Witnesses say the storm tore through the popular First Monday Trade Days grounds. Linda Hatfield is the marketing director of the popular open-air flea market. She says one RV was toppled with a woman trapped inside, but she was removed with just minor injuries.

Canton police department reported that three cars and several trailers in all were flipped over, but the number and extent of the injuries aren't known yet.

The twister was part of a line of severe storms that erupted this morning over East Texas, prompting a couple of tornado warnings in the Canton and Tyler areas.
