KILLEEN (November 9, 2012)--Two people are dead after an early morning car-train crash in Killeen.
Killeen police officials tell KWTX that at around 2:10 a.m., a car hit a moving train near North College Street and East Avenue E in Killeen.
Officials believe that the drive of a car went around crossing guards when they were down, and then hit the train.
Two people were killed in the crash.
The driver of the vehicle was a male soldier, the passenger was a female.
Both of the victims were 26 years old.
Traffic in the area could be a problem for some time.
Avenue E is shut down from Gilmer to 195 (South Fort Hood Street).
