The shootings touched off protests from minority activists that
were met by counter-protests from Horn's supporters.
Defense lawyer Tom Lambright told the Houston Chronicle that the

Horn called 911 to report a burglary, and a dispatcher
repeatedly told Horn to stay inside.
On the tape, Horn is heard threatening the two burglary suspects
before they were shot.
