HARLINGEN, Texas (AP) - A teen has been charged with murder in
the death of a Harlingen High School South teacher whose body was
found in his apartment.
Police say 49-year-old John Farr was found dead Monday
afternoon.
Police declined to release the cause of death or a possible
motive.
Police spokesman David Osborne told the Valley Morning Star that
officers went to Farr's apartment after getting a call from the
complex management.
The teen was arrested late Monday.
Osborne says the boy attended Harlingen High School South, but
it wasn't clear if he'd been in one of Farr's classes. Police
declined to release the boy's age, but Osborne says he's between 14
and 16.
The suspect was taken to Darrell Hester Juvenile Justice Center
in San Benito and arraigned on a murder charge.
