AUSTIN (AP) - The owner of a defunct South Texas children's
rehabilitation center has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for
using inflated Medicaid reimbursements to fund his lavish
Eliseo Sandoval diverted more than $4 million in Medicaid
reimbursements to his Just for Kids rehabilitation clinic in
McAllen to buy a ranch, sports cars and real estate. Just for Kids
filed for bankruptcy in 2004.
The 38-year-old Sandoval pleaded guilty in April just before his
