GARLAND, Texas (AP) - Garland police say a man arrested after
allegedly shooting at a restaurant is believed responsible for
firing on motorists in five other incidents.
Three people were hurt in apparent random shootings after a
gunman in a black Honda Prelude shot at three groups of motorists
Sunday, one person Monday and another yesterday.
Most of the vehicles were stopped at red lights.
Twenty-two-year-old Thai-An Huu Nguyen of Garland is held
without bond.
He faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon,
endangering a child and deadly conduct. It wasn't immediately clear
whether the suspect has an attorney.
He was arrested last night after a Prelude pulled into a
restaurant parking lot in Garland.
Police say the driver got out and fired into a wall just below
the windows. No one was injured.
A Garland officer later made a traffic stop and found a pistol
in the Prelude.
