State and local officials from across Texas are preparing for Tropical Storm Dolly.
It's still too early to know where Dolly will come ashore, or how strong she'll be, but emergency officials are watching and waiting -- just in case.
The Heart of Texas chapter of the American Red Cross is preparing volunteers, supplies and equipment if Dolly strikes.
"We're expecting that once it comes ashore, people will have immediate disaster related needs for shelter, food and clothing," Red Cross Emergency Services Director J.P. Demeritt said.
It's here in College Station where preparation is put into action. The Texas Forest Service is mobilizing incident response teams across the Lone Star State.
"You have to be able to take care of your personnel, plan out for the next operational period and take care of equipment that your using," Mark Stanford with the Texas Forest Service said.
The teams, which are made up of emergency response personnel from major Texas cities, are expected to leave Tuesday for the Texas-Mexico border.
"The primary mission that these teams will be carrying out is running points of distribution at the local level, handing out food, water, and ice to victims of the storm," Stanford said.
We still don't know when or even if she'll hit, but no one's taking any chances with Dolly.
