LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - A former West Texas teacher has been
accused of growing marijuana at a home -- and of trying to ship
drugs in the mail.
Twenty-nine-year-old Ryan Ashley Glenn taught at a high school
in the Frenship school district. He had additional drug charges
added yesterday to three filed last week. Police have said they
found heroin, other drugs and drug paraphernalia at Glenn's
apartment Thursday.
Glenn also taught several sports to seventh-grade boys in a
middle school.
Glenn's attorney declined to comment.
Glenn resigned from the district Friday, a day after an employee
at a commercial shipping store called police to say he'd found
drugs in a box a man was trying to have mailed. Glenn worked at the
school district two years.
