Investigators say two teenage siblings have died after their car hit a stopped school bus operated by their Central Texas district.
The Department of Public Safety on Friday identified the victims as the driver, 16-year-old Sierra Hardin, and 14-year-old Caleb Hardin of Bertram.
A school spokeswoman says counselors were on hand Friday at Burnet High School, where the girl was a sophomore and her brother was a freshman.
DPS says the accident happened around 4 p.m. Thursday at an intersection near Burnet, about 50 miles northwest of Austin. The car struck the rear of a Burnet Consolidated Independent School District bus.
DPS says more than a dozen students were on the bus and one youngster suffered minor injuries.
Bertram is about 10 miles east of Burnet.
