TEXAS CITY, Texas (AP) Three Southeast Texas children have been hurt, including one girl who suffered a concussion, after two school buses collided while transporting band students.
The Galveston County Daily News reported Monday that the wreck involved buses from the Texas City Independent School District.
Officials say one bus rear-ended the other Saturday while bound for Galena Park. Four buses were hauling students to a University Interscholastic League marching competition.
District spokeswoman Michelle Tortorici says two students immediately reported being hurt. Their parents were on the bus and officials determined no medical attention was required.
A 15-year-old girl, hours later, got sick, and school officials say her mother was contacted. The mother picked up the teen and took her to a hospital, where the girl was diagnosed with a concussion.
