TYLER, Texas (AP) - Authorities in East Texas are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in which three people were found dead in and around a burning home.
Marion County Sheriff David McKnight tells KLTV in Tyler that a fire was reported at a home around 2 a.m. Monday. Firefighters found a man sitting inside a car who appeared to have shot himself. They found two bodies later inside the home.
Authorities believe the man inside the car lived in the house with his wife and stepson. They have not identified any of the dead.
Marion County is about 175 miles east of Dallas.
