If you are headed to central texas this weekend, you might want to check out their gas prices.

Motorists are finding what must have looked like bargains at the pump Friday at some Central Texas stations.
Prices like $1.97 and $1.99 could be found at several gas stations around the Waco area.

The weekly AAA Texas gasoline price survey released Thursday found that self-serve regular fell 29 cents per gallon this week to an average of $2.31 per gallon, 47 cents cheaper than a year ago.

Nationally, regular self-serve fell 28 cents to an average of $2.55 per gallon.
The lowest prices in the state Friday were still in South Texas.
Regular unleaded was selling for as little as $1.88 to $1.89 a gallon at stations in Edinburg, McAllen and Mission.

And if you see a great price around the Brazos valley, email us a picture at pumppatrol@kbtx.com.
