A tip led to the arrest of a Wal-Mart trucker and two women allegedly trying to smuggle four illegal immigrants past a checkpoint in Texas.

The four Mexican nationals in the rig's trailer also were
detained.
Court documents filed this week indicate 50 year old Alejandro
Hernandez last Thursday unloaded at a Wal-Mart in McAllen, then
went to an Edinburg truck stop.
That's where 29 year old Leonor Gomez and her mother, Santos
Gomez Moreno, allegedly moved the immigrants from their van to the
truck trailer.

Documents indicate the women followed Hernandez, to transfer the
immigrants back to the van once the rig cleared the Border Patrol
checkpoint.
Agents arrested the trio just south of the checkpoint.
Wal-Mart spokesman Don Fogleman told The (McAllen) Monitor that
employees are expected to conduct themselves in a lawful and
ethical manner.
