Three people are dead after a fiery one-vehicle crash between Houston and Galveston.
The Houston Chronicle quotes police in Webster, a suburb of Houston, as saying two couples had left a nightclub and were headed south on Interstate 45 around 3 a.m. Sunday when their pickup truck swerved into a concrete divider. The truck veered off the highway, across the frontage road and flipped into a stand of trees and burned.
Police tell the Chronicle that the man at the wheel was able to escape the wreckage and flee on foot, but he was found and arrested about six hours later.
