AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Some state lawmakers say Gov. Rick Perry
has warned he might call a special session if the Legislature
doesn't reform funding for the state windstorm insurance system.
The insurance reform is being held up by a legislative slowdown by
House Democrats to stop a GOP-pushed voter identification law.
Other bills in the jeopardized include local road projects, solar
energy incentives and even trans fats in restaurant foods.
