HOUSTON (AP) - Dallas energy baron T. Boone Pickens says he has
scrapped plans to create the world's largest wind farm in the Texas
Panhandle. He says he's looking for a home for 687 giant wind
turbines that he already ordered. In his words: "My garage won't
hold them."

In 2008 when the price of fuel had skyrocketed, Pickens was touting his cure from foreign energy reliance through wind generated electricity. After the Wall Street collapsed along with fuel prices, Pickens announced there were no investors in his program and not much interest from the public.
