Two crews of Louisiana firefighters are heading to southwest Texas to help contain wildfires.
Agriculture Commissioner Mike Strain said 16 firefighters from his department will assist the Texas Forest Service in the Uvalde area, west of San Antonio. They're scheduled to be there for two weeks.
The crews were set to leave Thursday with three bulldozers used to dig trenches that prevent the spread of wildfires.
