A turtle swiped from a Houston-area pet store has been returned
after the theft was captured by surveillance cameras.

KHOU-TV reports the suspect's mother on Sunday returned the $600
Indian star tortoise to Pet City in Spring.

Security video released last week showed a young man stuffing
the valuable turtle, about the size of a tennis ball, into a front
pocket of his pants. Charges are pending against the suspect, whose
vehicle license plate number was caught on store security video.
