Pot busts are routine in South Texas. So drug smugglers are forced to find newer, better ways to get their drugs into the United States.

Monday DPS Troopers pulled over a fake United Independent School District bus North of Laredo. Instead of students they found plenty of marijuana, over 5-thousand pounds of the cannabis.

Two tons of pot have a street value of almost $2-million. The bus driver ran away. He hasn't been caught yet. DPS investigators say they are pursuing several leads as to who is responsible for the illegal weeds.
