WACO (November 25, 2009)—Interstate 35 travelers could encounter some delays over the Thanksgiving Holiday because of construction that has narrowed lanes and shoulders.
None of the main lanes of the highway is closed, but the construction south of Waco between New Road and Spring Valley Road could cause some backups, the Texas Department of Transportation said.
There were also reports Wednesday that traffic was slowing down between Waco and Hillsboro.
TxDOT crews are patrolling the interstate Wednesday to help travelers with minor problems.
They’ll be on the road Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. and again on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
