WACO, Texas - A Waco bounty hunter has been sentenced to six months behind bars for evading arrest with a motor vehicle in an incident in which a man was injured.
A judge on Monday sentenced 54-year-old Dale "Cowboy" Cobb after he pleaded guilty to the felony charge in a plea agreement.
Cobb in 2009 was indicted on an aggravated assault charge, which
was dropped as part of the plea deal.
Investigators say Cobb was involved in an October 2006 incident that left a man, being sought by the bounty hunter, with facial fractures. Court records indicate Cobb was accused of assaulting the man who allegedly missed a court date in a DWI investigation.
Cobb in 2001 was sentenced to five years in prison after his
probation was revoked over his 1997 conviction on a charge of
impersonating a peace officer.
