An announcement from the National Weather Service office in Galveston says that all shrimp trawling will stop tonight at sunset.

The National Marine Fisheries Service says that federal waters from 9 to 200 nautical miles off Texas will close to shrimp trawling at 30 minutes after official sunset on Monday.

Reopening these federal waters to shrimp trawling will be contingent upon the timing of the state of Texas reopening it's territorial waters.

Questions should be directed to the National Marine Fisheries Service at 727-824-5305.
