DALLAS (AP) A pregnant Texas actress who told FBI agents that her husband had sent ricin-tainted letters to the president and New York City's mayor has been arrested.
A spokeswoman for the U.S. attorney's office in the eastern district of Texas says Shannon Richardson of New Boston, Texas, was arrested Friday.
Spokeswoman Davilyn Walston says the arrest comes in connection to ricin-laced letters that were sent to President Barack Obama and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
Walston tells The Associated Press that Richardson was arrested around noon. Walston declined further comment, saying she wasn't in position to provide details.
FBI agents wearing hazardous material suits were seen going in and out of Richardson's house on Wednesday in New Boston, about 150 miles northeast of Dallas near the Oklahoma and Arkansas borders.
