HOUSTON Houston will host an annual offshore technology conference where several governors will speak with energy business leaders.

Governors from seven states will participate in a panel discussion Monday on improving state and federal cooperation for offshore energy development.

The governors include those from heavy-hitting energy states, including Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Alaska Gov. Sean Parnell.

The Offshore Technology Conference is held every year in Houston. It is a chance for energy leaders to show off new technologies, most used in the offshore drilling industry, and discuss hot topics.
