SAN ANTONIO A disturbance call in San Antonio has led to the fatal shooting of a man by police after he stole and wrecked a patrol vehicle.

San Antonio police say two officers involved in the incident early Tuesday weren't hurt and have been placed on administrative duty.

Investigators say an officer who responded to the disturbance call got out of her patrol vehicle and the man ran toward her. He jumped into the vehicle and drove away. Police say the suspect crashed the vehicle and was shot by police when he allegedly tried to attack another officer.

The name of the man and further details on the investigation weren't immediately released.
