SAGINAW, Texas (AP) Authorities in North Texas have identified the 6-year-old girl found dead and wrapped in a tarp.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner says the girl's name is Alanna Gallagher. They have not made public the girl's cause of death.
Two teenagers found Alanna's body in an intersection in Saginaw. One said the child's hands and feet were tied and her head was covered with a plastic shopping bag.
Saginaw is home to about 17,000 residents about 10 miles north of Fort Worth.
The FBI, the Texas Rangers and local police have worked on the case since Monday. That's when the teens found the girl's body, shaking residents of the quiet Fort Worth suburb.
