TEMPLE - A statewide Amber Alert issued late Friday morning for Isaiah Corson, 2, who was abducted after a shooting in Temple that left his mother injured, has been lifted.
The toddler was found safe after officers stopped a car on Interstate 30 in Garland.
The woman’s estranged husband, Vincent Corson, 30, was reported to be driving the victim’s 2007 Mazda 6 sedan.
Officers pulled the car over early Friday afternoon near the Gus Thomasson Road exit on I-30.
The alert said he was considered armed and dangerous.
The woman was shot three times at around 6:30 a.m. Friday at the Greenbrier Park apartments at 2405 South 13th St. in Temple, police said.
The woman, whose name wasn’t released was in surgery and Scott & White Hospital, but is expected to survive, police said.
The victim had a protective order against Corson, police said.
