Army officials have released the name of a Texas soldier killed in a crash near the entrance to Fort Huachuca's airfield.
Base officials on Friday said the victim was 22-year-old Specialist Jonathan Thomas of San Marcos.
They say he was hit by a vehicle Thursday morning in an accident involving a motorcycle that also injured two other soldiers.
Fort Huachuca spokeswoman Tanja Linton says all three soldiers were assigned to the Army base's 40th Expeditionary Signal Battalion.
The accident occurred on Highway 90, which skirts the southern Arizona base.
Base officials say Thomas was a satellite communication systems operator maintainer. He joined the Army in November 2009 and had several awards and decorations.
