AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - A man has been arrested after a Texas teacher noticed suggestive text messages to a 12-year-old girl in her class.

Investigators say the teacher at Pleasant Hill Elementary School in Austin confiscated the child's phone Monday morning and saw messages including "I love you, baby" and a photo of a bed.

Police say the suspect was located at a store where he allegedly planned to pick the girl up and have lunch.

Travis County Jail records show 28-year-old Gerber Deltransi Guevara-Silva was jailed Thursday on a charge of online solicitation of a minor.

Bond has been set at $60,000 for Guevara-Silva. Online jail records did not list an attorney for the man from El Salvador who's been living in Houston. Guevara-Silva was held without bond for immigration authorities.
