The wife of former Texas Governor Bill Clements says the family has no doubt that a body found in a shallow grave in East Texas is that of their son.
Authorities however are still trying to determine whether or not the body found over the weekend on the East Texas ranch belong to Clements' neighbor is indeed a son of the former Texas governor.
Henderson County Sheriff Ray Nutt says Gill Clements was reported missing on Thursday and that a wallet belonging to 69-year-old Clements has been recovered.
On Friday, officials say Howard Granger fired at authorities who went to search his ranch. Granger was killed and later officials found a man's body in a shallow grave on his property.
Nutt did not immediately return a message Monday to The Associated Press.
