Investigators say a convicted high-risk sex offender who fled from a Central Texas halfway house has been caught at a bus stop.
Travis County Jail records show 55-year-old Robert Lee Moone Jr. was held Thursday on a parole violation charge.
The Department of Public Safety says Moone was arrested Wednesday night at an Austin bus stop.
DPS says Moone on April 4 was staying at the Encore House in Austin when he fled and cut off his ankle monitor.
Records show Moone in 1989 was sentenced to 45 years in prison for breaking into a home and attempting to sexually assault a 13-year-old girl. He was put on parole in 2010, required to have electronic monitoring and placed in an intense supervision program.
