AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - U.S. Sen. John Cornyn has raised almost $4.2 million so far this year.
The Republican senator is up for re-election next year but has yet to draw any major challengers in the Republican primary or from potential Democratic candidates.
Texans for Senator John Cornyn said Monday it raised $2.3 million in the second quarter and have almost $5.9 million cash on hand.
Campaign manager Brendan Steinhauser says, "Grassroots conservatives are fired up about this battle for the future, and so are we. We are thankful for the thousands of Texans who have joined Senator Cornyn in this important fight."
The campaign says that they have raised the most among all GOP Senate candidates for two straight quarters.
