The City of Dallas has terminated a firefighter accused of turning to a life of crime.

Sources tell News 8 that Jesus Ventura is no longer with Dallas Fire-Rescue.

Ventura appeared in federal court Monday on a bank robbery charge. He's also accused of firing a gun in a firehouse.

His attorney asked a judge to delay a probable cause hearing until Friday
