After a summer of a growing number of unemployed workers in the Bryan College Station area, the Texas Workforce Commission has released statistics for September that shows there may be a reversal in that growing trend.
For September of 2010, 5.9% of the workforce was unemployed, compare that to August of 2010 where the numbers stood at 6.8%.
Last year at this time unemployment for this area was at 6.3%.
Midland 5.1%, Amarillo 5.3%, Lubbock 5.8% , lead the state with the lowest number of people out of work.
Texas' unemployment rate stands at 7.9% compared to 8.1% last year at this time.
