FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - A North Texas police officer has shot a burglary suspect who used a crowbar to try to attack another officer.
Fort Worth police on Thursday did not immediately update the condition of the suspect, who was transported to a hospital but is expected to survive.
One officer suffered a minor injury during the incident early Thursday at an apartment complex as officers responded to a burglary call.
Capt. Shawn Stone says officers were confronted by the suspect. Police say the man raised the crowbar and charged at one officer, then the second officer opened fire and shot the suspect.
Police did not immediately release names of the officers or further details on how one was injured.
