Galveston Homeowner Slain During Apparent Robbery

GALVESTON, Texas (AP) - Galveston police say a homeowner has been fatally shot during an apparent robbery and officers detained two potential suspects.

Police say the attack happened early Tuesday when as many as three intruders barged into the man's home.

Investigators say a woman at the residence wasn't hurt. Police say the homeowner was dead at the scene. His name wasn't immediately released.

Galveston police did not immediately provide further details on the investigation or the two people being questioned.
