Houston Man Arrested in Montgomery Co for Human Trafficking

Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a Houston man after a traffic stop in The Woodlands where they discovered he was smuggling undocumented aliens into the area.

26 year old Cesar Garcia was stopped around 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon for a traffic violation. The deputies discovered that the Garcia, the driver, had been paid by the four other occupants to pick them up in Falfurrias, Texas and take them to Dallas.

According to the police report, the occupants were undocumented. While authorities were interviewing the occupants, they recieved different stories.

Garcia was arrested for smuggling or persons. The occupants, 25 year old Ignacio Esquivel, 31 year old Gilberto Espino, 48 year old Juan de Jesus Velazquez and Luis Gallegos, were arrested for false report to a peace officer.

An immigration hold has been placed on all five people arrested.
