HOUSTON (AP) - Houston police are seeking a 17-year-old girl's stepfather over the fatal shooting of her dad as the men argued in front of the youth.

Police on Tuesday identified the fugitive as 45-year-old Alain Delon Bell as investigators tried to determine what sparked the dispute.

Bell faces a murder charge in Monday's slaying of 55-year-old David Earl Stoneham. The victim was an off-duty inspector with the Houston Fire Department.

Police say the girl and Stoneham had pulled into the driveway of his residence when Bell appeared. The men argued and struggled with each other.

The teen told police she saw her stepfather shoot her father twice. The girl says Bell then walked to his pickup truck parked a couple of houses down the street, got inside and drove away.
