HOUSTON (AP) - Houston authorities say a man's death in a trash compacting machine is a tragic industrial accident.

Police received a call Thursday that a worker at a parts distribution company fell into a mobile compacting machine that's affixed to the back of a box truck. The machine is used to crush packaging material.

Houston television station KTRK reports it took fire crews about two hours to extract the man's body from the machine.

The name of the victim hasn't been released.
