Tuesday evening, at approximately 8:20 pm, Conroe Police Officers were dispatched to a disturbance with weapons at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park.
Upon arrival, officers discovered 19 year old Geovany Ponce-Reyes in his vehicle, dead of an apparent gunshot wound.
Witnesses described Reyes being involved in a physical struggle while seated in his vehicle and the suspect outside the vehicle.
The suspect fled on foot leaving the car they arrived in behind after the shooting.
After following several leads on Wednesday Faggin was stopped on a traffic stop and detained.
After questioning and learning there was a struggle over a cell phone they charged 19-year-old Jerome Faggin of 2213 North Frazier with murder.
Faggin has been booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
A murder investigation is underway in Montgomery County.

Witnesses say Reyes had been involved in a physical struggle from inside in his vehicle, but the suspect was outside the vehicle.
The alleged shooter then pulled a gun and shot Reyes.
According to witnesses, two black males were seen running through the park after the shooting but police have been unable to locate any suspects.
