A man has been found dead in a burning Central Texas house and police say a truck is missing from the home.

Killeen police on Monday searched for the truck and two men who allegedly stole the vehicle during a possible burglary. Police are looking for a 1996 green Chevrolet extended cab pickup with Texas license plate 78N-HL1.

Further details on the man found dead early Sunday were not immediately released. An autopsy has been ordered.

Emergency personnel had responded to a report of a home on fire. A door was open and a man was dead near the front area.

Police earlier received a call about suspicious people in the area. Witnesses reported two men possibly burglarizing the residence.

The fire was extinguished within about 30 minutes.
