Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputies Asking For Public Assistance

On February 16, 2012, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies met with a 42 year old Woodlands resident who reported that she had been pulled over for a traffic violation by someone that did not appear to be a law enforcement officer. Deputies learned that the victim turned onto Glenloch Drive from E. Panther Creek in The Woodlands on the morning of February 16, 2012, just before 6:00 AM, and noticed that she was being followed by newer model black Toyota Tundra.

The driver of the tundra activated red and blue lights that were on top of the truck and the victim pulled into a lighted parking lot where she was approached by the driver of the truck. The driver was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans and the victim did not notice any type of police insignia affixed to the clothing or the vehicle nor did he identify himself or a police agency affiliation. The driver of the black tundra was described as a white male, 45 to 50 years old, clean shaven, blond buzz cut, blue eyes, height / weight around 5’10” and 190 lbs.

The victim told deputies that she gave the suspect her driver’s license but she became suspicious when she did not see any efforts of the suspect to use a radio or an in-car computer. The suspect returned the victim’s driver’s license and after chastising her about her driving habits allowed her to leave.

The Sheriff’s Office believes that the suspect was not a police officer. The Sheriff’s Office is concerned and seeking assistance from the public to identify the suspect or obtain information on other incidents that may have occurred.
