Most Wanted Fugitive Has Ties to Valley, Mexico and Colorado

Authorities have additional information on this month’s featured fugitive, Gaspar E. Loya III, including his ties to the Valley, Mexico and Colorado. A $20,000 reward is being offered during the month of March for information leading to his arrest. This is the largest cash reward offered to date for a featured fugitive under the Texas 10 Most Wanted Program. Texas Crime Stoppers tips are guaranteed to be anonymous.

Loya, 37, is wanted for Escape, Parole Violation and Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration. He is also wanted by the FBI for Unlawful Flight to Avoid Confinement. His previous convictions include Murder, Assault, Indecency with a Child involving an 8-year-old girl, Burglary of a Habitation and Vehicle Theft.

His last known address was in Weslaco, Texas, and he has family in the Valley. He is known to travel to Mexico and has ties to both Chihuahua and Tamaulipas, Mexico. Loya also has ties to Colorado, where he was arrested under his alias of “Jesus Dominguez” and escaped from custody in July 2000. He has often used the nicknames “Pipo” and “Diesel.” See his wanted poster at: http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/Texas10MostWanted/fugitiveDetails.aspx?&fugitive=Gaspar%20E.%20Loya,%20III&id=2.

He has tattoos displaying the name of his daughter “Jazmine” on his back and his daughter “Tyra” on his abdomen. On his left hand, he has a web and his right thigh displays a Heart/chain/Lisa tattoo. He also has a cut scar on his left arm.

One offender from the Texas 10 Most Wanted Program is featured each month in hopes the higher reward money from the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division will generate additional tips. The higher reward amount will only be paid if the tip comes in the same month the fugitive is featured, regardless of citizenship or nationality.

Texas Crime Stoppers, which is funded by the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division, offers cash rewards to any person who provides information that leads to the arrest of one of the Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitives or sex offenders.

Anyone with information can provide anonymous tips in four different ways:
