Murder Investigation

David Edward Mcglinchey a 32 year old white male had a cut on his hand and Thomas Morris was lying on the ground with stab wounds to his chest and abdomen.
David Mcglinchey was transported by ground ambulance to Herman Hospital Downtown due to the severity of the cut on his hand. Mcglinchey was treated and released and arrested for Murder and brought to the Montgomery County Jail.
Justice of the Peace Pct 5 Matt Masden ordered the body of the victim sent to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for Autopsy.
Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit of the Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers are investigating the incident and interviews with witnesses have been underway.
The immediate cause for the fight between Mcglinchey and Morris remains under review. Witnesses at the scene told investigators that both men had been consuming alcohol.
