DALLAS Police say that despite having a "person of interest" in custody, they will continue with increased patrols and surveillance of a Dallas neighborhood targeted by a serial rapist.

Maj. Jeff Cotner said Friday a 29-year-old man is being interviewed by investigators and has been cooperative. Police were acting on a tip and also information from a relative when the man was arrested early Friday at an Arlington apartment on an outstanding warrant for a probation violation for driving while intoxicated.

Meanwhile, another woman came forward Thursday, bringing to nine the number of women police say have been attacked since June near downtown along Fair Park. The women were accosted while walking early in the morning.

Cotner says the investigation continues, helped by more than 50 tips provided by the public.
