ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - A three-vehicle traffic accident on Interstate 30 in the Dallas area has left three people dead and a suspected drunken driver in custody.
Arlington police say the wreck early Wednesday killed a man, a woman and an infant who were in a small car.
Investigators believe a pickup truck hit the rear of the car. Police say the damaged car was stopped on I-30 when it was struck by a larger truck pulling a flatbed trailer.
Police say the pickup truck driver ran but was caught in a nearby wooded area.
Police say 41-year-old Benjamon Ray Stewart of Arlington was being held without bond on three counts of intoxication manslaughter and one count of failure to stop and render aid. Online jail records don't list an attorney for him.
