HOUSTON (AP) - Houston police say the 19-year-old driver of a car that plunged into a bayou killing one passenger and injuring another was drunk.
Police charged George Marion with intoxicated manslaughter and intoxicated assault after the crash early Sunday. He was not injured.
Police did not identify the other passengers. They say one was a 19-year-old boy who died at the scene. The other was a 20-year-old who suffered severe injuries and remains in a Houston hospital.
Police say Marion was speeding when he hit a pipe on a bridge, sending the car plunging into the bayou.
