San Antonio Mom Gets 50 Years in Daughter's Death

A South Texas woman convicted in the beating death of her toddler daughter has been sentenced to 50 years in prison.

A jury in San Antonio on Tuesday night sentenced 25-year-old Andrisela Ng.

The woman was convicted Monday of murder in the 2008 death of 2-year-old Gianna Espinoza. Investigators say the girl had suffered head wounds.

Ng's first trial in 2011 ended in a mistrial when jurors were unable to agree on a verdict.
