Still Creek Ranch takes in children in crisis situations and gives them a safe place to call home. Still Creek has rescued boys and girls from environments such as sex-trade, abuse, neglect, and abandonment. The ranch, which was established in 1988, raises the children who live on the ranch in a Christ-centered environment where they are cared for physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Likewise, Still Creek's Christian Academy is a private, gospel-centered, accredited K-12 school. The academy provides opportunities for the residents and community students to excel in arts, agriculture, equine education, biblical teaching; and as of this year, the athletics program is a part of TAPPS District 1A.
The Boys basketball team thus far is 8-3 in their district debut, and is looking for a win Tuesday night to seal-the-deal for playoffs. Still Creek raises their own funds for facilities, including athletic facilities. Currently, the basketball team's home games take place at Kemp-Carver Elementary in Bryan.
Still Creek Boys & Girls Ranch is a 501(C)2 non-profit tax exempt corporation that operates solely on gifts. In other words, Still Creek does not receive any federal, state, government, or United Way funding; only generous donations of the community. No gift is too small, as Still Creek relies solely on monthly donations to meet the needs of the children (ages 7 to 17) and staff. Presently, Still Creek Ranch is the largest and only long-term safe house and boarding school for minors functioning with the United States."
Each year, Still Creek has events to raise funds and awareness in our community about the issues that face our children today; and spread love to the children that are brought into the Still Creek family.
